Lao New Year is the biggest holiday of the year in Laos. Three days are filled with ceremonies, celebrations, and a festive parade.
This is the hottest time of the year. One important tradition is that everyone throws water onto others, to cool them off.
All ages will enjoy these photographs of the New Year in Luang Prabang. This book is particularly intended to engage very young readers, with one large word and a short sentence on each page.
